Ser谩 Montecarlo, la ocasi贸n de oro鈥.

ENDS UP A GREAT YEAR AND HOPES FOR A RENEWED
The structure with its headquarters in Rome – the Motorsport Italia – which Bruno De Pianto and Max Rendina conduct, has achieved a quite positive year in their sports program at the Italian Rally.
With their sports plans almost exclusively dedicated to the local and national scope, and with the participations in the CIR Rally Sparco #2021; with their Czech cars from 艩KODA, under the classic model Fabia R5 Rally2 Evo1, destined to Fabio Andolfi and to the winner of the Junior CIR (2020): Andrea Mazzocchi. All these drivers have raised to the challenge with satisfactory records in all the tournament dates of the Italian Rally; even Andolfi, who has been the central figure; fighting until the end of the sporting competition against 芦Gia禄 Basso and Stefano Albertini; both with other constituents of the Czech Republic car brands. However, a more modern version than the one Andolfi used.
Staying at the gates of the title and waiting for the 2022 rematch.
As regards other subject, the Monobrand great acceptance, CIR Junior with the support of the ACI Team Italia and the Italian Car Club, bet for this proposal together with the Motorsport Italia, with whom they have defined a professional work plan to incorporate young values. Therefore, it has been materialized with the Tricolore intervention accompanied by ten Ford Fiesta Rally4 cars -managed in Rome by the MSI- in every Rally. Besides, they are all committed to a common good: to create new expectations, obtaining this way the admission of new racers, such as Giorgio Cogni; the greatest winner of the #2021 CIR Junior in Liburna.
2022 Season: the main news about the competition.
A change of name has occurred: from the CIR Sparco to CIAR Sparco; a significant decision to be named 鈥#2022 Rally Italian Absolute Tournament鈥. Moreover from the nomenclature, there will also be some changes regarding its structure, and seven races are expected to take place, mostly on asphalt. The 鈥淩ally Di Roma Capitale鈥 is one of the confirmed, apart from being a tradition in the last years of the Italian Rally.
It is important to distinguish that the Motorsport Italia has its participation assured in the CIAR Sparco #2022; in both its divisionals: the major class of the Evo Rally2 and the mentioned spectacle class from the CIR Junior counting on the #ACITeamItalia sponsorship.
It is still needed to define the plans as what to refers to a more international level, with the Brazilian Palmeirinha Rally Team continuity, which the experienced Paulo Nobre conducts. In addition, it also lacks to determine the admission of any local or foreign driver as well as the acquisition of a new car to the Rally company; most important in the Italian speciality.

News are intense and clear. Besides, Top Run Italian team conversations, with its Principal Team; Sr Michelle Agnello, with specialized people of the new category TCR South America, which Federico Punteri manages, have been positive and there are great possibilities that the blue cars of the Mitaka in Japan could enter, built, constructed and manufactured by the Agnello brothers鈥 formation, with its homologation and official and exclusive FIA and STI patent. It is a concrete fact that, with a South American team to designate, the WRX STI of the Italian Top Run will be seen again in the international circuit. Moreover, the exclusivity of the dampers of Yokohama -Japan- is verified by #TEIN in South America.
Consecutively, the words of the main responsible of the TCR South American active competition 2021/2022 are presented:
Federico Punteri, South American TCR General Manager: 鈥淚t has been a good experience for us; we have been working with Michelle; talking, discussing possibilities鈥 I think there are concrete chances for them to come to the #2022 category. We are behind a team which could be interested in acquiring the Subaru WRX STI TCR from the Italian Top Run Motorsport. We can not announce which structure yet, but there are significant chances for Japanese blue cars made in Varese to be next year in the South American TCR #2022.

HYUNDAI MOTORSPORT CELEBRATES TITLE-WINNING ERA AS WRC OPENS NEW CHAPTER

  • Hyundai Motorsport celebrates title-winning era as WRC opens new chapter

Motorsport bids a fond farewell to the WRC鈥檚 current generation of technical regulations (2017-2021), in which the team claimed two manufacturers鈥 titles
  • The Alzenau-based squad鈥檚聽Hyundai聽i20 Coupe WRC has competed in 57 championship events, taking 17 wins, 63 podiums and 402 stage wins up to and including Rally de Espa帽a
  • Reflecting on its achievements over the past five seasons,聽Hyundai聽Motorsport is ready to tackle the all-new hybrid powered Rally1 regulations from 2022 and beyond.

Alzenau, Germany

October 21, 2021 鈥 As the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) approaches an exciting new era of hybrid technology,聽Hyundai聽Motorsport reflects with pride on the past five years of competition, since the introduction of WRC鈥檚 third generation of technical regulations.

Across a total of 57 rallies (up to and including Rally de Espa帽a), the聽Hyundai聽Motorsport team has claimed 17 victories, 63 podium results and 402 stage wins with its聽Hyundai聽i20 Coupe WRC car. The team has also been crowned manufacturers鈥 champions on two consecutive occasions, the highlights of a competitive period in its comparatively short WRC history.

From its inaugural season in 2014,聽Hyundai聽Motorsport quickly gained a reputation as podium contenders, but it was with the introduction of the 2017 regulations 鈥 the most comprehensive technical changes for thirty years 鈥 that the team became front-runners on a regular basis.

Back-to-back wins in Corsica and Argentina that year, the team鈥檚 first-ever consecutive victories in WRC, were a taste of what was to come for the Alzenau squad in the coming years, as a new-look, high octane championship thrilled rally fans, and captured fresh audiences.

Regulation changes centred primarily on improving aerodynamic and mechanical grip, with greater engine power and reduced weight, all with the intention of enhancing and broadening the sport鈥檚 appeal. The result was a highly competitive championship with tense battles, exhilarating moments, and nail-biting finales whatever the terrain. Four out of the top-seven closest-ever WRC finishes have come in the past five years (2017 Rally Argentina, 2018 Rally Italia Sardegna, 2019 Rallye Monte-Carlo and 2021 Croatia Rally) with聽Hyundai聽Motorsport crews often in the thick of the action.

Despite finishing as championship runners-up in 2017 and 2018, the team鈥檚 determination and never-give-up attitude paid dividends in 2019, when it secured its debut title after adding a further four wins to its tally during the year. The following season, curtailed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, saw the team take successive titles and cement its position in WRC鈥檚 history books.

Now, another chapter opens with sweeping changes to the technical regulations for 2022 aimed at making the WRC more relevant and accessible for manufacturers, and with hybrid drivetrains for the first time. For聽Hyundai聽Motorsport, the commitment to the all-new Rally1 underscores the company鈥檚 continued ambition in WRC, and its intention to add more podiums, wins and titles well into the sport鈥檚 new era.

Team Principal Andrea Adamo said:聽鈥淲e are reaching the conclusion of a very special period of WRC for聽Hyundai聽Motorsport, one in which we are incredibly proud to have played a major part. We can look back at the introduction of those 2017 regulations and recognise the important role they had in defining this epoch of WRC. For our team, everyone at聽Hyundai聽Motorsport in Alzenau, our partners, our crews and our fans, these five years have allowed us to compete at the very highest level, to take our performances up a gear, and twice to prove our title-winning credentials. We have experienced every emotion possible: magic moments, close battles, celebrations, commiserations, tense Power Stages, challenges, heartbreak, and euphoria 鈥 these are memories that will live with us forever. We have poured a huge amount of energy and effort into developing our聽Hyundai聽i20 Coupe WRC to compete 鈥 and triumph 鈥 on the world鈥檚 toughest stages. We come to each rally to win; we might not achieve that all the time, but we can honestly say, hand on heart, that we have given it our best shot. That fighting spirit will stay with us as we embrace the new Rally1 era 鈥 a new chapter for WRC and for聽Hyundai聽Motorsport.

Thierry Neuville said:聽鈥淚 am pretty sure we have lived through one of the best eras in WRC over the past five years because these cars have been super exciting to drive and watch. The competition has been so close with all teams on a similar level of competition. We have taken two manufacturers鈥 titles in 2019 and 2020, we had a strong car and could fight for victory on all terrains. Since its first rallies in 2017, the car has evolved a lot; it is much faster than it was at the beginning, and the team has worked hard to get it as strong as it is now. I have enjoyed these past five seasons, especially the winning moments. At the same time, I always like something new, and a fresh challenge is coming.鈥

Ott T盲nak said:聽鈥淚鈥檓 lucky to have been able to drive so many different cars during this generation of WRC. They will go down in history as one of the best, I think. Driving these cars, with their aero, the general stability and the emotion that it gives you, it鈥檚 been pure fun and we will miss them. To get the title, you need the full technical package because we meet so many different elements during the season: snow, tarmac, mud, and gravel. It鈥檚 not easy to develop a car that can work in all of these conditions, but these have not been designed for one surface alone, it鈥檚 been possible to drive them everywhere.鈥

Dani Sordo said:聽鈥淚 have been very lucky to drive all of the different types of world rally car, but this latest generation has been amazing; how the cars work and perform in the stages is incredible and I think we will miss this philosophy a bit. The aesthetics of this generation of car have made them wider, with advanced aerodynamics and a more aggressive look. From the outside, as a spectator, it is nice to watch these cars but also inside the cockpit, they have been enjoyable to drive; you can push really hard. Having said that, I am sure the new ones will be fast, because over the years the way the cars have evolved to become better and better with each season.鈥

Craig Breen said:聽鈥淚 will be forever grateful to have been part of this generation of WRC; it has been something very special and we鈥檝e had some amazing moments. The regulations we have had since 2017 have probably provided us with the ultimate rally car, and it鈥檚 been getting better each year. The level is mind blowing. In terms of technology and pure performance, there is nothing on this planet like these cars. On the fast gravel events particularly, with the aero improvements, you can do things your mind can鈥檛 understand. Being part of the adventure with聽Hyundai聽Motorsport, getting two manufacturers鈥 championship titles, has been a real pleasure and will be among my most cherished memories. It鈥檚 really an honour to have been part of that.
