New Inductees to Rally Hall of Fame

Stig Blomqvist, David Richards and Ari Vatanen are the next three inductees to Rally Hall of Fame.

They join eleven earlier nominees in the Gallery. These are Erik Carlsson, Paddy Hopkirk, Rauno Aaltonen, Timo Mäkinen, Walter Röhrl, Hannu Mikkola, Carlos Sainz, Michèle Mouton, Björn Waldegård, Andrew Cowan and Tommi Mäkinen.

The Hall of Fame Gallery is located in the premises of Mobilia, Finland´s national specialty museum of the automobile and transport. The museum can be found in Kangasala, some 20 kilometres east of the city of Tampere.

Our chairman, David Richards has been added to Finland’s Rally Hall of Fame today along with Ari Vatanen and Stig Blomqvist. They joine the likes of Erik Carlsson , Paddy Hopkirk , Rauno Aaltonen, Timo Mäkinen, Walter Röhrl , Hannu Mikkola, Michele Mouton , Carlos Sainz , Bjorn Waldegard , Andrew Cowan and Tommi Mäkinen. David is the first non-driver to be added.

Ari Vatanen in 1976 reached the age of 23 of Ford’s protégé , showing exceptional speed immediately , especially British soil.
