DMACK Offers Perfect Winning Package For Argentina
Twelve months ago, DMACK came within less than a second of its first FIA World Rally Championship win when Elfyn Evans blitzed the opposition at Rally Argentina.
DMACK’s gravel tyres delivered a stunning performance and the British company is confident of another strong result next week on the event’s tough gravel roads. DMACK has consistently proven it has the best possible product for the South American round of the series and the range for WRC 2 have been improved further since last year.
Elfyn Evans used the advantage of DMACK’s soft compound tyre to steal a march on his competitors, leading the chasing pack right until the very last stage. He lost the opportunity to take his and DMACK’s first win by just 0.7 seconds after a sterling performance all weekend.
The DMG+2 tyre, which worked so well last year, is nominated again for WRC cars, with the medium GH34 and soft GS84 compounds perfect for the event.
WRC 2 and R5 cars will use the DMG+22, which also benefits from the same run-flat construction that was used in 2017 across the WRC car range. Compounds available are the medium GH44, which has been nominated for Argentina, and soft GS64.
List 1 for R5 and WRC 2
DMACK 205/65R15 DMG+22, GH44 hard (22) and GS64 soft (16)

List 2 for WRC
DMACK 215/65R15 DMG+2, GH34 hard (24) and GS84 soft (16)

This year shakedown tyres are not included in the overall event allocation.

Dick Cormack, DMACK managing director, said: “Our tyres have consistently demonstrated a competitive advantage for the last few years in Argentina so we expect next week’s event to be no different. The nominated compounds for R5 cars are perfectly suited to the conditions in Argentina and our customers will use exactly the same compound which took Elfyn so close to the win last year.”
