2017 CRC Concluded in Sandu with FAW-Volkswagen Successfully Defending Its Title

10月29日,中国汽车拉力锦标赛(CRC)2017赛季收官之战在贵州•三都站落下帷幕。本站比赛,一汽-大众车队马克•希金斯以4分钟巨大领先优势夺得全场车手冠军;车队首席车手陈德安、实力悍将李国进包揽中国车手冠亚军;一汽-大众车队本站收获了厂商杯、联合会杯以及国家四驱组车队冠军,实现了本赛季的三连冠。一汽-大众车队凭借本赛季的优异表现,获得2017赛季年度厂商杯、年度国家四驱组车队双料冠军,实力悍将李国进收获年度车手总冠军。

On October 29th, China Rally Championship (CRC) finished its final race of the season in Sandu, Guizhou Province. In the finale, Mark Higgins from FAW-Volkswagen dominated the race with an astonishing 4 minutes lead. Chen De’an, chief driver from the same team won the first place for Chinese Drivers while his skilled teammate Li Guojin won second. The team won the Manufacturer Cup, Fed Cup and Chinese 4WD Team Championship in this race, marking their third consecutive win for the season. With their excellent performance throughout the whole year, FAW-Volkswagen has secured the overall Manufacturer Cup and Chinese 4WD Team Championship for 2017 season. The seasoned driver Li Guojin won the Overall Drivers’ Championship.

三都站是本赛季新晋加入CRC的一场分站赛,共设置有一条超级短道、两条特殊赛道,共8个赛段,全程约455公里,其中计时赛段总程140公里。三都站是本赛季唯一一站采用水泥路面,并穿过山间寨子的分站,水泥山路狭窄且相对较滑,赛车挟着引擎的轰鸣声从山民家门口极速通过,颇有些曼岛TT的感觉。因此本站比赛堪称本赛季CRC最艰难的分站之一,近一半赛车最终没能完成比赛。

The race in Sandu was a new addition for CRC this year. The race consisted of a super short run and two special runs. The course was separated into 8 stages with a total length of 455 km and the special stage was 140 km long. It was the only race of the season run on asphalt roads circling around the village. This race held a strong resemblance to Isle of man TT as drivers fired up their engines and zoomed past local houses on narrow yet slippery cement mountain roads. It was also one of the most difficult races of the season since almost half of the cars failed to reach the finishing line.

比赛首日的超级短道赛一汽-大众车队众车手均采取了保守的跑法,随着次日正式比赛的开始,几位车手开始发力,强力外援马克•希金斯一路领先,每个赛段都比对手快上不少,比赛结束时,领先第二名达3分59秒,车队首席车手陈德安与新晋年度冠军李国进高居国内车手前两位。

At the super short race on the first day, the drivers from FAW-Volkswagen chose to hold their cards close to their chests. They got the ball rolling on the second day when the official race started. The foreign expert Mark Higgins took the lead at every stage and finished the race with a 3-minutes-and-59-seconds advantage. The team’s chief driver Chen De’an and the newly crowned individual champion Li Guojin ranked first and second among all Chinese drivers.
