JRC A FULL 2017
The Japanese Rally Championship of 2017 has kicked off!.
Here’s a report of the first race, the Rally of Tsumagoi from 2 through 5 February.
As this first round was in the middle of winter in the village of Tsumagoi, Gunma, it meant one thing: SNOW. It has been no less than 14 years since the JRC last featured a snow rally.
This season TEIN supports the suspensions of teams Nutahara-Sato (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX) and Kamada-Ichino (Subaru WRX STI), both competing in class JN6. Day 1 Kamada-Ichino staged a fierce neck-and-neck battle for the top position with Katsuta-Ishida. On Day 2 they suffered time loss from going into a spin, but achieving top times in 4 of the 6 SS on Day 3, they still seized 2nd place.
Nutahara-Sato with their older ride broke into the top as well, battling intensely for the 3rd place and winning it.
(The results are provisional)
Round 2 will be the “Tour de Kyushu 2017 in Karatsu”, 7 through 9 April in Karatsu city, Saga prefecture.
Please cheer for us!
