Verona, Sunday 11 October 2015 – Umberto Scandola and Guido D’amore on Skoda Fabia R5 won the 33rd Rally Due Valli, the final round of the Italian Rally 2015 Championship. The 33rd Rally Due Valli, race organized by Automobile Club, ended with Umberto Scandola and Giandomenico Basso fighting mainly in the long day of Saturday. The third place went to Paolo Andreucci who lost contact early on with the top due to a series of errors. The classification had been virtually decided yesterday, while today the protagonists challenged each other on the “Erbezzo” stage repeated twice. The quickest times were set by Basso and by Umberto Scandola .
A strong end for Scandola and D’Amore that claimed the victory of the rally, proceeding Giandomenico Basso and Lorenzo Granai on the Gpl powered Ford Fiesta R5 ldi by 34”6s. This was the second victory of the season for Scandola, which was an important one especially as it was taken in the home rally. The third absolute place went Paolo Andreucci and Anna Andreussi’s ways on Peugeot 208 T16 R5 , that had a 1’10.4s gap to the top. Thanks to the result at the Rally Due Valli, Peugeot Italia secured the ninth Constructors title.

Behind the top three of the Italian Rally Championship, the fourth place went to Michele Tassone on the 208 T16 R5, who run a good race, always challenging Fabrizio Andolfi Jr, on Ford Fiesta R5, who eventually took P5.

The Production Italian Championship ended in Verona with the final victory going to Ivan Ferrarotti and Manuel Fenoli, who led Luca Rossetti by only one point. The driver from Friuli was sixth absolute in Verona and took the Clio R3T Trophy leading Luca Panzani and Ferrarotti. The top ten was rounded up by Giorgio Bernardi on Peugeot 208, who was also the class R2 winner.

The rally Due Valli also ended the season of the Suzuki Rally Trophy with the victory in the Suzuki Swift R1B Trophy going to Claudio Vallino and Tiziana Desole, who led the Under 25 Gianluca Rao and Stefano Martinelli. The fourth place among the Suzuki Swift R1 went to Denaro, who was followed by the younger Saresera and Cogni.

CIR Absolute classification: 1.Andreucci 88 points; 2. Basso 66; 3. Scandola 65; 4. Chardonnet 28; 5. Perico 27; 6. Caldani 18 and Albertini 18 ;8. Tassone 17;9.Baccega 15; 10. Ciavarella 6.

CIR Constructors classification: 1.Peugeot 123;2.Ford 103;3.Skoda 65.
