JRC A FULL 2015
Japanese Rally Championship 2015, Round 6: Montre in Tsumagoi.
31 August 2015
This particular Montre rally proved exceptionally challenging for machine setup.
Not only was it a tarmac course with partly gravel sections, on top of that surface conditions suffered from rain.
In JN6 class, Nutahara and Sato’s MITSUBISHI LANCER Evo X negotiated the slippery surface with a stable speed. They waged a fierce battle, but just couldn’t make it all the way to the top spot, and had to settle with 2nd place.
Pulling off great rankings like 2nd in SS10 and 3rd in SS6 and SS8, veteran team Ishida-Miyagi closed in on the top group with their speed. They made 5th place with their MITSUBISHI LANCER Evo X.
Meanwhile crew Kamada-Takehara, failing to tune the setup of their SUBARU WRX STI to the difficult conditions, came in 7th.
In JN5 class, team Shinkai-Urushido finished Day 1 leading with their ABARTH 500 Rally R3T.
On Day 2 though, the hard rain turned the table, and they had to give up their position in the final SS.
However, giving it their all, they still managed to finish 2nd!
The next race is round 7 from 18 through 20 September, to be held at Rally Hokkaido.
