Rally Italia Sardegna – bad luck for Ukraine
7 June 2014
There is nothing more awful than getting of the race in the very beginning of it. The first really racing section of Rally Italia Sardegna has brought a bad luck for our crews: Valery Gorban and Vasily Gryazin both left the race during the first section even before the service. Sardegna has turned into an unexpected “surprise” – and it was a bad one.
Soon after the beginning, after the SS2 after, Gryazin informed that he had felt ill. Unfortunately it’s impossible to keep rallying in that case, so our driver had to left the competition. The worst thing is that the young driver couldn’t even try to drive a new car in real race.
Team’s spectators had put all hopes on Gorban-Korsya crew but they left the race too – unbelievable! The reason was different: a narrow turn, a hard contact, a broken arm of suspension. Normally crews have some additional spare part on board therefore they can change something by their own hand. But not in that case – that part was really rare to broke, so the crew just didn’t have It.
The only bright side of this accident for Gorban and Corsya is the next day – we will start under the Ralli2 because the unique roads of Sardegna are really worth driving them. So – keep cool and go on.
