Of 116 cars participating in this season-opener in Jinsha, Guizhou, TEIN is supporting 52 cars.
The event was kicked off with a spectacular Ceremonial Start, followed by Special Stages 1 & 2 in part 1 of Day 1.
TEIN-supported driver Wang Hua on Lancer Evo 9 is now leading the race!
The second part of Day 1 consisted of 4 SS, on 2 loops each of 2 courses, totaling 53.92km.
TEIN Gr.N Damper delivered superior traction performance on mid-speed smooth gravel courses!
TEIN-supported driver Wang Hua on Lancer Evo 9 was 1st among Chinese drivers and 3rd overall but had to retire on SS6 due to a broken steering rod.
He’ll restart on Day 2 to make a comeback!
Another supported driver Wei Hongjie drove steadily and finished the day in 7th among Chinese drivers and 9th overall!
Day 2 was fought on 4 Special Stages; 2 loops of 2 stages, for the total of 68.58km.
TEIN-supported driver Wan Hua on Lancer Evo 9 had a flat tire and broke suspension arm.
As a result, he was forced to retire on SS8, unfortunately.
Wei Hongjie also had to retire on SS8 due to a broken gearbox.
The next round is going to be a tarmac rally in Beijing, coming up in late June.
